The Magnificence of 'Kota Wali'

"It's my hometown, but it's also a great town. There's a lot of stories here
when you peel back the layers."  -Joel Vetsch-

What do you notice when traveling through the 'City of Wali' ? Yes, you will notice the never ending river, not to mention the villagers who bathe or rinse their clothes there, especially in the afternoon. Many of you probably disgust deal with this view. There may, however, a few others who enjoy it. Seeing kids jump into every side of river, brave the cold and go for it. Well, no matter how you slice it, this is the city where I was born as well as grow up. And I am so blessed to be here, in DEMAK.

Yesterday, I was awakened through  'Visit Demak Exhibition' conducted by a student of fine art department in the Dean Building, Faculty of Languages and Arts. At first, I didn't recognize that the one who sat beside me was the exhibition designer until we had a small talk. Soon I found out that he comes from Demak, the same town with me. He told me that he wanted to transform his feeling of sympathy into this small exhibition which was actually his final assignment.

"I am deeply sad when I can't answer my friends' questions about the specific food and tourism places in Demak. Therefore, I tried hard to find out by asking my mom even old people surround me and I got it. Unfortunately, due to the complication of cooking the traditional food, I can't bring it here. I just bring rose apple (jambu) instead. Hopefully this small exhibition will give a tiny contribution for my beloved town, Demak", Popo stated.

And there it is, a little stunning piece of  tourism places in 'Kota Wali' by mas Popo :)

So guys, what are you waiting for? Visit Demak and Feel the beauty of its nature! :)
